Making Space is a series of events powered by aimed at highlighting the perspectives of individuals who challenge the expectations of their environment. The Media Is The Message is a discussion revolving around the role that independent media creators play in challenging, perpetuating, and engaging with the politics of mainstream media.

Jalani Morgan is a photographer born in Scarborough, currently working in Toronto. His thoughtful photographs are a form of cultural anthropology, created to understand and communicate the landscape of Toronto racially, culturally, musically and otherwise.

Gyimah Gariba is an illustrator and animator born in Accra, Ghana, currently working for an animation studio based in Toronto. His bright, engaging work regularly features his family, friends (both real and imaginary), and unapologetically tackles major social injustices faced by people of colour.

Nafisa Kaptownwala was born in Vancouver, and is currently based in Toronto. When living in London, UK she created Lorde Inc., a modelling agency specifically for people of colour. It now represents a beautifully diverse range of models from London, Toronto, NYC and more. or
