Congestion in 3D - Opening Reception

On May 14th come celebrate the opening of my first solo art exhibit "Congestion in 3D" at Blank Canvas Gallery.

The exhibit uses anaglyph 3D photography and audio to capture congestion in Toronto's transit system in a never-seen-before way.

[Full Description/Press Release]

“Congestion in 3D” is an art exhibit by Trevor Twells that captures the grid-locked essence of Toronto’s over-populated transit system.

Toronto artist Trevor Twells will be opening “Congestion in 3D”, an art project which captures glimpses of congested, unsustainable areas in Toronto. The exhibit uses anaglyph 3D images and sound to create a truly claustrophobic environment. The exhibit makes use of Anaglyph 3D glasses, allowing exhibition goers to view the photos on display and experience the full weight of the art’s oppressive effect.

The artist’s statement for this project is to bring awareness to just how unsustainable our city’s current infrastructure is, and what affect it will have on daily life in and around Toronto—particularly the transit system, which has been a point of contention in the city for quite some time.
