2116: Art of Leverage

2116: Art of Leverage

Opening Reception with Exhibition Catalogue
(Tickets are free but registration is required -

Twelve artists with different cultural backgrounds - from Saudi Arabia to India, Cuba to Venezuela, China to Canada - are featured in this multi-media exhibit. The works include painting, drawing, installation, sculpture and video. The theme of the exhibit is the intrinsic power of art to shape reality - not the power of force or argument, but of a deeper human connection - this is leverage. Creatively, the works are united by an attention to the underlying values of humanity (often obscured in modern society), and a calling up of forgotten spirituality.

This is an opportunity to see and purchase work by a diverse group of emerging artists, curated by Anne Tom Wong and organized by Emerging Young Artists (EYA). Over 30 pieces of artwork will be displayed at this exhibition, representing a wide variety of style, media and subject matter reflecting their visions of the contemporary society that is vital to our evolution as a global community.

Please join us on January 15, 2016, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the opening reception for 2116: Art of Leverage exhibition at Gallery 1313. The venue is conveniently located on Queen st. West between Dufferin and Landsdowne, with the entrance through the west gate.
